Replacing ExpressionEngine’s logo on the login screen

Replacing the default ExpressionEngine logo on the login screen is easy.

  1. Make a GIF, 315 X 125 pixels (other sizes may work, but this size works for me) with background color #27343c. 
  2. Place the desired graphic on it and save as ee_login_bg.gif.
  3. Upload the gif to /themes/cp_themes/default/images
  4. Refresh your browser and voilà.  You may need to clear your browser’s cache to see the new image.
